The towering spikes of foxglove, or digitalis, create a unique interest in perennial gardens. Their blooms are very unique and flower in spring to summer. They attract hummingbirds to the garden, but need some care to re-bloom from year to year. They are only biennial, or short-lived perennials, but they will self-seed and spread. Foxglove does best in full to part sun.
