Summer is here! It's a little warm....but you can still garden! Try working in the early morning and late evenings. It's cooler and it will keep you out of the direct sun. Westwood continues to carry a full stock of plant material all through the summer. We grow a special crop of 1 gallon annuals (big,full, colorful common and specialty annuals). Use them to replace "burnouts" in your beds or to make instant mixed patio pots.
Summer is also a great time to go perennial shopping. The most popular perennials are blooming now - including echinacea, rudbeckia, leucanthemum and of course, the daylilies! We have a huge, well maintained stock!
The hydrangeas are blooming right now - come take a look at the big Annabelle hydrangeas. Other shrubs in bloom include Chaste tree and Althea (Rose-of-Sharon). Soon to bloom are the Crape Myrtles and Abelia.
